The Role

Dem Dx has developed a state-of-the-art AI solution that supports clinical decision making, improving front line care for patients globally. We are looking for a forward-thinking, experienced Business Development Director to grow our market position in the UK within the NHS and beyond.

This role would be well suited to someone who has previously launched a SaaS or other Medtech product and, at the same time, scaled and managed a team whilst contributing to the sales strategy as an active member of the senior management.

You’ll be an experienced Business Developer who loves looking for new business. You’re great at building relationships and asking the right questions to get to the heart of the matter in order to deliver the best solutions to your customer. 

You’ll develop our market share and achieve financial growth, engaging with internal & external stakeholders and leading communication with Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Health Boards (HBs) and Primary Care Networks (PCNs). You’ll gain a deep understanding of the organisations’ challenges, issues and opportunities, enabling you to develop compelling solutions aligned to their needs.

You will have a proven track record of winning and developing key accounts and be able to demonstrate a natural ability to establish and build new and existing client relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to identify, engage and secure new business opportunities and net new clients 

  • Establish and continually improve key performance metrics to measure and improve the sales cycle

  • In charge of the budget process, including team expenditures and remaining within budget guidelines

  • Maintain high-quality up to date CRM data and any other associated business systems to optimise the sales process

  • Provide accurate forecasting with strong conversion to new business from both new and existing clients

  • Build and maintain a portfolio of clients, gaining an in-depth understanding of their business issues and how to help address them

  • Comfortable operating at Board-level with clients, delivering insightful and persuasive proposals and presentations 

  • Achieve revenue targets and activity key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the client is receiving the highest level of service 

 

About you

 

  • A strong track record of relationship building, selling and winning business in the UK Healthcare sector 

  • Experience in NHS, healthcare, pharma software or product sales, ideally from working with the Primary Care and GP sector

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and its sales and marketing techniques, requirements and budgeting and planning cycles

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • A strong self-starter with the personal drive to achieve results

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships

  • Highly organised with a high level of attention to detail and excellent time management

  • Ability to structure, negotiate and close sophisticated deals with prospect executive leadership

  • Strong commercial acumen to work with clients on reaching mutually acceptable long-term commercial agreements

  • Supporter of team ethics and comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary team environment

 

 

Remuneration

Full time

Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience.
